“Outdated and unsuitable for families with young children. Location is great though.”
The spot is spot on, and having free parking is a real perk. The building feels like a relic and isn’t very practical for anyone bringing a little one. No elevator, steep stairs, and you’re stuck climbing them everywhere. Even after telling the front desk ahead of time that we’d be arriving with a baby, we were first given a room on the top floor. After some back‑and‑forth we finally got a ground‑floor room, but I had to haul the crib myself from the original room to the new one. When I asked why a family with an infant had been put on the upper level despite the prior notice, the reply was simply, “Well, why not…” That answer really says how little thought was given to us. The room was barebones; apart from two towels there was no kettle, no coffee machine, no bottled water, and basically no other amenities. The front desk shuts down early, which is a real issue because most of the island closes early too. Grab some drinks and snacks at the nearby Netto before heading back to the hotel if you’re arriving late, otherwise you’ll have almost nothing until morning. The location is great, but the combination of an old, inconvenient building, almost no room amenities, and indifferent service makes this a place I won’t return to.
