The location was good, but everything else was terrible. No staff spoke English, the food was low quality and awful. On the first night a leak ruined our sleep, and the next morning we were simply told to move to another room. We paid for a city view, yet the windows faced the next building only 5 m away. The hotel isn’t cheap for what it offers; better options exist elsewhere. They also falsely claimed there was a spa.

The place is very central, but checking in was a hassle because no one at the front desk spoke English and it took a while to locate my reservation. The late‑shift staff were unfamiliar with the system, which was surprising. I had to pay cash, didn’t receive a receipt, and was told to wait until the next morning for a refund. Breakfast was decent, mostly Chinese dishes, with only toast as a Western choice.

The place was clean, but the booking promised a city view, while the room actually faced back‑streets and alleys. To get a better view I had to pay an extra 600 yuan, and the original price was already very high compared to other hotels. The service was not recommended.

The breakfast was very good and the bed was very clean and soft. The hotel room was spacious and had an excellent view. Excellent choice for staying SHANGHAI
