The rooms were spacious and the staff very friendly and helpful, but we found ourselves on the wrong side of the lake where there wasn’t much to do; the hotel’s outdoor restaurant was very dark, making it hard to see anything, which was quite annoying.

Breakfast was excellent, featuring northern, southern, and continental dishes, with live counters for dosa, uttapam, bread omelette, etc.

Wow—this property is one of the most spectacular I’ve ever seen! The palace is huge with outstanding views of the lakes and city; each room is beautifully decorated and slightly different. Service was phenomenal and the food delicious. It’s just outside the old city, so you’re central yet able to find peace and quiet. We absolutely adored our time here and will definitely return.

Chunda Palace sits in a quiet, stunning location overlooking Lake Picola, yet it’s a short ride to the city. The whole place was beautifully decorated, and the room was sumptuous and well appointed. Breakfast, Hi Tea, and dinner were all excellent, with very attentive and helpful staff. The outdoor pool was a gem, away from the city heat, and we didn’t want to leave.
