“Very overpriced, would not recommend to anyone.”

Location. Old and worn out. Beds were old, sagging and tilted to one side. No where to hang a towel. Big bathroom but no counter or towel rack. Very expensive for what we received. Breakfast not included

“Underwhelmed”

Handy for the bus. Compelled to order breakfast at check-in. It wasn't the best but as you have to pay for it the night before they have no interest in asking whether or not everything is ok or if you would like anything else. 08.45 was the latest I could come down for it. Nobody available at checkout so after my calling put yielded no response I left the key on the bar as I had a bus to catch. Uncomfortable bed with noise from above, below and the road directly outside so the earplugs went in. Other stops have provided a much warmer welcome. It wasn't terrible but I've had a lot better for less on this tour

“Great food and location - could be improved”

Good food, friendly service, great location for the C2C. rooms felt very tired, carpet was old and felt unclean only 2 x sachets of shower soap provided seats in dining area are stained a separate check in desk would have be helpful and more welcoming felt like the hotel is cutting costs and not keeping it updated

“Good value hotel at end of hard day's walking”

This was a stop on our coast to coast walk at the end of a very hard day of walking. We were very grateful to arrive. The staff were very welcoming and the room had recently been decorated. The beds were a bit soft but the shower was fine. The hotel was good value given there was not a lot of other options. The breakfast was a bit uninspiring with milky scrambled eggs and very sweet bread
