“Idyllic hotel in a dreamlike location”

This Tarasp property is wonderful, an idyllic spot that shaped my childhood imagination, and seeing how reality outshines those early visions is amazing – it’s probably my fourth or fifth visit to this Lower Engadine paradise. The staff are extremely attentive and lovely, which I really appreciated. The hotel feels historic and loving, creating a dreamlike vibe. Breakfast was impeccable, as were the rooms and facilities, and I’m eager to return soon, this time with my family. I expected everything to go smoothly, but I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome that made me feel truly at home.

The price is high, but every penny is justified by the location, service, food, and room furnishings. The silence, the friendly exchanges with staff and chefs, the luxurious yet approachable vibe, the chance to meet other interesting guests, the terrace, and breakfast all make it a place to unwind from everyday life. Even our medium‑sized dog felt noticeably comfortable here. Thanks, Tarasp. Nothing to complain about. Even the whiskeys, rums, and cognacs are served nicely. If you forget your own cigar, you’ll have to wait a while before something suitable appears on the menu.
