I really enjoyed my stay; the location was perfect, right by the river, the chill vibe, great price, good food, friendly staff, clean room—highly recommend.

We had an absolutely terrible experience with the staff and will never return. Our first problem was a complete lack of communication: no one told us that check‑in closed at 10:00 PM, and we arrived at 10:30 PM with heavy suitcases only to be met by a visibly drunk staff member who slurred that he “wasn’t working that night” and had nothing to do with the hotel. He literally turned us away in the middle of the night, forcing us to pack up, leave in the dark, and scramble for a local guesthouse. The next day the nightmare continued. We came back at 11:00 AM hoping for some accountability, but the morning receptionist bluntly told us we couldn’t check in until 2:00 PM. When we pointed out the absurdity of making us wait after being kicked out by a drunk employee the night before, he just cited “policy.” We had to bypass him and call his boss, who immediately agreed to let us check in. Management may be reasonable, but the on‑ground staff are completely unprofessional, unhelpful, and a liability. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere that actually cares about its guests.

For $5 per night this is ideal for solo travellers on a budget. The view is superb, with the mountain and river blending together. I appreciate that there are no noisy travellers around the bar area; the vibe is peaceful and quiet, and the music is relaxed and slow, which is great for solo travellers who dislike loud places. The food variety at the bar could use an upgrade because the menu is limited, and the coffee tastes basic—upgrade the machine and beans!
