We didn’t stay in the hotel itself but in the part of the small village used as a dispersed lodging, so we neither requested nor used any services; this particular type of accommodation is very appreciated by foreigners, and because of its nature it doesn’t fit a classic rating; we weren’t very mobile and were a bit uneasy about the sloping walkways, but we felt comfortable in a charming place run by friendly and helpful people; we dined once at the venue (we were always out exploring at lunch) and the restaurant fully satisfied us.

“Un borgo incantato”

The location in this fantastic little lakeside village is superb; the staff are extremely kind; the rooms are rustic yet very welcoming (with a terrace and a vine gazebo); it’s clean; the breakfast is excellent; the nights are very peaceful; if you want to dine at the restaurant, check its opening hours.

The accommodation’s restaurant was closed, but L’Osteria Del Isola on the road served great food, with a good menu and excellent service; the lodging itself is in a great setting and the outdoor areas are charming; however, the interior felt tired and stained, especially the bathroom; the shower was difficult to use; the floors badly transmit noise from upstairs; the walk from the car park on the road is very steep, so bring a torch for safety.

We were suspended in a separate world, immersed in nature, in a small lakeside village, experiencing the magic of simple things; there’s a private beach; the food is excellent; nothing to complain about.
