A 10‑minute walk to St Mark’s Square. A 10‑minute walk to the S. Zaccaria ferry terminal. Breakfast was good. Coffee was tasty. The room was pretty.

Hotel Lux, Venice, offers a comfortable stay near St. Mark's Square. The hotel's prime location allows for easy exploration of Venice's landmarks on foot or by public transport. Rooms, sanitized with ozone, feature Venetian-style furnishings and modern facilities. The hotel provides transfer, tour, and excursion arrangements, as well as booking services for museums, events, and restaurants, across two separate buildings.

The location was perfect, just a 3‑minute walk to St Mark’s Square. Both the reception and housekeeping staff were very kind and discreet. There were no hidden fees, and a message on Booking explained how to access the hotel. As is common in Italy, the curtains were not very opaque and the walls thin, but a mask and earplugs solved the issue. The room was cleaned daily, though the bathroom was a bit old; it was clean but still had stains that wouldn’t come off. There is no elevator, but that was not a surprise.

The staff were available, very kind and courteous, the room was clean and the location was great, just a couple of steps from Piazza San Marco. I don’t particularly like the carpet, and the mattress felt a bit hard, but that’s a personal preference and doesn’t detract from the property.

The room was spacious. The hotel’s cleanliness was quite lacking, the building was old and poorly maintained, the bathroom light kept flickering, the bed was too soft and caused back pain, and the air‑conditioner offered almost no temperature adjustment, barely changing. The hotel was in a very poor state.
