Passion Fruit Lodge

The lodge and the property are gorgeous. The lodges themselves are cute, comfy, and peaceful. Everything stays open; no windows are shut, so we can hear and feel nature around. The lodge has a kitchen and the staff are very nice. We loved our stay—it was the highlight of Cahuita. The pool is great, and there’s a shared kitchen/barbecue and an open kiosk for yoga. Life is quiet and stops there. The road to get there is tough; a 4×4 is needed. It’s a bit farther from Cahuita village, but that’s the price for peace!

“Paradise”

The experience at Passionfruit lodge was exceptional. The rooms felt more like little houses or cabanas and were very spacious, and the hotel itself is tucked away in a beautiful jungle with a pool. I really enjoyed waking up each morning to the sound of birds and howler monkeys, and taking walks in the garden to discover new birds and butterflies. The pool area is divine. The warm welcome from Giacomo also really improved the overall experience. Overall, my stay felt like a few days of absolute peace in a paradise garden. I would recommend it to anyone heading to Costa Rica! Nothing else, except that it’s not within walking distance of Cahuita town, so you need a car or taxis (I took taxis and Uber the whole time, which was fine).

“Great place!”

The staff were very nice, especially Giacomo who was very helpful and made us feel at home. He recommended great restaurants and places to visit. The pool and garden are beautiful and the houses are great. Nothing else.

“Far niente et playa”

The hotel sits in a lovely garden right beside the jungle, where you can see plenty of birds. The pool is huge and stunning, and the staff are adorable. Breakfast is very good. The fan was extremely loud and unusable at night, and the Wi‑Fi was very capricious, but we were there to disconnect!
