“Get away for the weekend”

I keep coming back because everything works out fine; the lodges have all the basics and everything’s good. The only downside is that bookings fill up fast, so if you get a slot, grab it right away!

“A lot of stress, no good communication. No information”

I liked the forest setting and the roomy houses. However, when we arrived we weren’t told the exact names of our houses, so we had to figure it out ourselves and ask the owners. The heater and hot water were non‑functional, so we froze all night in those houses; we spent the whole morning figuring out how to switch them on. I texted the owner about this, but didn’t receive a reply until midday. The shower pressure was weak, making it hard to wash long hair. We only had one roll of toilet paper for the entire stay. The curtains kept falling out, so we had to fix them. One house lacked a BBQ and a washing machine, while the other lacked a dishwasher, meaning you need to bring extras. The check‑in time was listed as 9:30 by the owner, but 10:00 on the booking page, and this wasn’t discussed beforehand.

“Bad”

We expected a hot tub for a relaxing holiday, but it turned out there was none.

I loved the seclusion of this place, and the hot tub was a great perk. The forest surroundings were stunning, and the beds were comfy. That being said, the lodge itself was a bit dated, and the bathrooms were old - the showers had poor water pressure, but overall it was still a nice stay.
