The place was stunning—clean room, friendly and always helpful staff, and the bike was parked safely inside the property. The beach is just a short walk away and the sea is crystal clear.

The kitchen was outstanding, and I especially want to thank Ibrahim for making our stay unforgettable with his kindness and willingness to help.

The only thing nice about the guesthouse is its physical setting and structure, but the management and service ruin everything. The establishment does not respect its guests or fulfill its obligations. The food is disgraceful: about five hours of waiting each day to eat! It takes at least two hours to get the first dish after ordering. The menu is identical for lunch and dinner throughout the stay, with no daily specials. Breakfast is supposed to start at 8 am (already late) but is served at 8:25, and it’s very sparse (no fruit, no juice). Hygiene is poor: we were served a salad that was not fresh at all, hidden under a strong vinegar smell. The first night, we requested a water bottle five times between 19:30 and 22:30 and it never arrived (the stock shortage was announced at 22:30 with temperatures over 30 °C!). The room was dirty on arrival (sand and a stale smell). Hot water was missing for two out of four days! There was no shampoo, shower gel, or bath mat. The staff are nasty and disrespectful: the servers spend their time on their phones or playing ping‑pong while we wait to order. They refuse to speak French or English and snicker in Arabic in front of us. Their attitude is condescending: “You’ll taste it and see” to a client asking about the ice cream scent, “You can go see the kitchen” when we ask where our dish is after 1.5 hours of waiting. To justify this disaster, they keep saying “We’re not a hotel” and “It’s the end of season.” Our entire program was ruined.

The location is great, close to a nice beach, and the staff are pleasant. I booked for August, three nights, expecting a quiet guesthouse called “Dar Oguz – maison d’hôtes,” but it turned out to be a family hotel with many rooms and lots of kids filling the pool. I asked for a room change because the first one faced a vacant lot, which was disappointing. The music played nonstop, even during breakfast. The surroundings of the property were very dirty (the garbage issue is common in the country). Dar Oguz has some good points, but the price feels a bit high for the average quality. It’s definitely better off-season because the coast gets overcrowded in summer.
