The selection of guided tours was good. We booked a self‑catering room, but there was only a knife, a plate, and a pot. The value for money of the accommodation is good, but the food and excursions are very expensive.

The lodge’s bungalows feel a bit old but still comfy, meals are included, the breakfast is good, the dinner buffet is decent but nothing extra, and it’s not too far from Sesriem.

The breakfast and dinner were solid, and the location is great with beautiful night skies, but drinks aren’t included with dinner—you have to buy them separately.

We had a great half‑day tour to Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and Sesriem Canyon with Moses, but we had requested vegetarian food when booking and the lodge acknowledged it; the first night offered several vegetable options on the buffet, yet the second night only had beetroot, rice and pap even though plenty of salad was available. The room needed maintenance because the taps worked poorly and the air conditioning didn’t work, and the lodge mainly serves large tour groups, so it wasn’t ideal for independent travelers.
