“Prima voor op doorreis”
The bed was soft and slept well. The room had a fan. The hotel is in a small village between vineyards and has its own parking. Unfortunately, the welcome was unfriendly and there was no smile. When I went downstairs to ask if I could fill my water bottle with cold tap water, the staff said you can’t drink tap water in Germany. That was odd, since it’s among the best water in Europe. After a brief discussion, I was eventually allowed to, but it was still a strange experience. (In my room only hot water came from the tap.) The hotel is next to a busy building with trucks, tractors, loud radios, and a noisy clock tower.
