“No thank you.”

I was relieved when they finally let me into the room, but all communication was only via WhatsApp, and another guest ended up being more helpful than the owner. Arriving was confusing because no one was there to greet me; I had to force the main door open and expected someone inside, but there was nobody. I found room 1 easily, yet the codes didn’t work, so I had to WhatsApp them. They asked for a video, sent one back, and eventually I could get in. I was skeptical about leaving my stuff there, worried I might not be able to re-enter, so I kept pinging them. I went out for food, returned, and finally managed to get into the room. I ate my subway and checked out the bathroom, which was cramped—I had to rotate to get in and lock the door. Back in the room, I sat on what I’d call a bed, but it was really just a plank of wood with a sheet, and it was hard. It was cold and noisy from traffic outside my window, and the curtain didn’t cover the whole window, so I couldn’t block the light. I tried to brush my teeth at the sink but it was impossible, so I went to the kitchen instead, finding the back door wide open—another source of cold. I shut it and filmed the kitchen, noticing a random electrical plug hanging out the window in the rain. I also spotted a camera pointing from the kitchen into the room, watching the bathroom and down the stairs, which felt creepy.

“Worst experience”

I can’t find words for the worst experience; the property needs to sort out electric sockets and heaters, and I won’t book again because everything was a nightmare.

“Good stay but no toiletries available as expected.”

The stay was overall good, just a bit farther from Central London and I had to take an Uber to get there. The only downside was that there were no toiletries, not even hand soap, as I’d expected.
