Ms. Claudia was incredibly kind; I booked last minute and she accommodated an early check‑in, greeted me with fresh water, a wonderful smile, and a very friendly daughter. The room matched the photos, with a comfortable bed, a massage shower, a coffee and tea kit, and even a bottle of prosecco in the fridge. The bathroom was impeccable and everything looked great. The location is excellent for beach access and the city center is a 10‑minute walk or bus ride, with buses also going to Acitrezza and Acireale. I hope to return soon because I had a great stay.

The room reeked of damp and mold, and you can’t open the door to ventilate because the restaurant above channels all the food smells into the room. The odor was overwhelmingly damp, and the only ventilation was a door you can’t open due to the restaurant’s exhaust vent, so it’s unclear whether the stronger smell is from fried food or the room’s humidity.

Being located almost underground, a few steps below street level, with no view and the constant fear of being seen, means you have to keep the door shut at all times.
