The hosts were amazing, the place spotless, and the little dog and cat were a sweet surprise. The only downside was the fold‑out futon bed and the kitchenette had very few appliances – I should've double‑checked what was actually included.

It felt more like a Bed & Breakfast than a private apartment. The owners live downstairs, so you’re in the upper part of the house. The IKEA day bed is a nightmare for couples – slats broken, frame bent, no proper mattress, no doona, just a thin blanket. We ended up sleeping on the floor. The bath isn’t a spa, so that should be clarified. Breakfast was just Greek yogurt, banana, granola – we’d prefer toast, cereal, croissants. No Wi‑Fi or champagne, so those claims are misleading.

The house was gorgeous, hosts were friendly, the neighbourhood was lovely, and the furnishings were tasteful. We also enjoyed the extra breakfast. The only hiccup was that we thought we’d have our own space – we ended up sharing with another family, no separate keys, no on‑premise parking, and the bed was a shared mattress on a simple frame.

Everything was perfect, just fabulous.

The place was clean and roomy, and breakfast was generous. The bed was an Ikea day bed, not great for discerning guests, and there was no door to the guest area, so privacy was lacking.
