The spot is close to Napoli and Vesuvius, and parking is easy. The rooms are roomy and the staff greet you warmly. However, the kitchen lacks a cutting board, a cheese strainer, and a knife, and the bed and sofa armrest make it hard to sleep.

The location is great and well connected by train to major towns. The room only has two chairs, and the Wi‑Fi never worked.

We stayed in Portici and used the room as a base for exploring the Gulf of Naples. The location is superb—just 5 minutes from the harbor and train station—yet the property remains tidy. The dining options in Portici are outstanding, far better and more authentic than the crowded tourist spots, and also cheaper. The room and bathroom were very clean, large, and relatively new, showing that the owners put a lot of thought into the décor. The wardrobe was spacious and there was even a clothes rack. The packed breakfast was convenient for eating on the go, but a bit more variety or some fruit would have been nice. The coffee machine was excellent, though one capsule per person per day was a little sparse on some days.

“Perfect for a visit to Herculaneum.”

The apartment was roomy, fully equipped, cleaned daily, and very safe and secure; it’s just a 5 to 10‑minute walk from the metro line and a comfortable 25‑minute walk from the Herculaneum site, with a large supermarket almost on the doorstep. Highly recommended. I wasn’t too keen on the pre‑packed breakfast, but it was a nice touch anyway.
