The hotel is a stunning old building. The new owners are not investing any money in the property; the gardens are overgrown, the hotel was meant to be refurbished but it was reopened for the stay with no work done and the place now looks tired and sad.
The hotel was shut when we arrived, so we had to scramble for another place and ask you for a refund; this property no longer exists!

The hotel was stunning, the staff were helpful, and the room was large, clean, and lovely. However, the notice that food would be served until 8 pm turned out to be false—when we went downstairs for dinner nothing was on the menu, so we drove five minutes away, found plenty of restaurants, and enjoyed the food we chose.
