We had a very good stay at Blue Bay. The location is superb, right on the water, with a very nice view. The accommodation is pleasant and the reception very friendly. We especially appreciated the calm and the proximity to the beach. Nothing particular to point out. Maybe a few small comfort details could be improved, but it did not affect our stay.

“Zero Hospitality: No staff arrived to greet us, check us in, or explain the property and area.”

Our experience did not match the positive reviews we read online. While the guesthouse is located close to the beach, it is definitely not beachfront as claimed. Furthermore, our room was never cleaned during our stay, and we never received fresh towels. The complimentary coffee and tea promised in the listing were also completely missing

The location was good, the kitchen fully equipped, the bedroom and spacious en suite, hot water, and secure.

“It was a wonderful stay that I really enjoyed. I would love to come back!”

Because of a flight delay I also arrived late at Bella Guesthouse. Manoella was already waiting for me, because I had previously asked if I could get the room earlier… I had a really pleasant stay: the room was very clean and big enough, everything you need was there and when I arrived the first day Manoella placed a bottle of cold water in the fridge for me -> THANKS! The beach was really only a few meters away and a morning bath in the Indian Ocean is wonderful. I could speak to Manoella at any time; she was always very friendly and helpful. When I return to Mauritius in the autumn as a new resident, I will certainly visit her; perhaps I can arrange a short stay at this beautiful place again. I am really looking forward to seeing you, Manoella! Hope the twins are well! There is nothing to complain!

I couldn’t find anyone in the accommodation, and the host was hard to reach through the listed English WhatsApp number.
