I love staying there; it’s very clean and good.

The hotel sits very close to the airport, just around the corner from the main road to O.R Tambo Airport, and we were also near some great spots. Everything was just perfect, and we were even impressed by the coffee machine and tea that were provided.

A Xhosa‑speaking staff member was on duty on the morning of 10 October 2026, and he was incredibly helpful with a smile and enthusiasm—though I forgot his name. I’ll be honest and say the floors weren’t cleaned properly; daily mopping might help, and the toilet in the room had a slightly urine smell. Don’t take this the wrong way—SUN 1 is one of the best affordable hotels I book when I’m in PE and Bloemfontein, and it’s usually my first choice unless it’s unavailable, in which case I choose another hotel.
