“We enjoyed The Bear. The room was great and the pub atmosphere was cingenial. The staff were really good and friendly.”

The rooms were lively and large, and the pub was great. Road works outside (not in their control) and no notice or offer of a discount, and the view out back was a bit dim. The price was high.

The room was spotless, fully equipped with everything needed, including water and a variety of teas. Breakfast was excellent, with a à la carte selection. We dined at the pub, and even though we arrived after the kitchen’s closing time because of a delayed flight, they still let us eat. The hamburger was superb, and the price was fair.

“Fantastic place”

The spot was great, only a 20‑minute walk to Bath city centre. We stayed in Room one, which had a roll‑top bath and a separate shower. The room was a lovely size and quiet. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were attentive and polite. I’d definitely come back.

The location was convenient, and the hotel offered dinner options. The city centre was reachable on foot in 15–20 minutes (downhill on the way out, uphill on the return). The parking is shared between the hotel and the pub/restaurant, so availability isn’t guaranteed. The price is very high compared to the overall quality.

“Room was peaceful, spacious and clean. Good parking at rear. Breakfast was impressive. I would definitely recommend”

The location was a short distance into town, and the room was quiet despite being near the road and beneath a pub. I have no complaints at all. It was a lovely stay and I would consider staying there again.
