City View Hotel

The carpet was filthy and the hotel was unbearably noisy—trams rattled past every minute, shaking the walls and making sleep impossible. Soundproofing between rooms was awful, so we heard neighbors making all sorts of noises. When I arrived, my room had no functioning lights; the staff said the lighting needed repair and only placed a lamp in the room. After insisting, they finally swapped me into another room. Breakfast was not included, though the shower did have hot water. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, noise, and poor room upkeep made this a very disappointing stay, and I would not recommend it.

I was pleased to find the hotel close to the underground station, and the local shops were convenient; the stay felt warm and offered decent value. However, the room was cramped and the bathroom was subpar, with a very small shower cubicle.

The location was fine, close to central London, and the night‑time staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the building feels very old and could use a renovation; the carpets are dirty, and the bed was broken and noisy.

The staff were very friendly, and overall it was good value for money. There were no other issues.
