The booked double room felt like a broom closet, with only one bed in the room and a second bed in the hallway without a TV, which is an insult for a married couple on my wife’s 74th birthday; the staff were very silent, saying only “Good morning” and never offering a birthday greeting. The room’s access was through a back door behind the building, with no direct entry to the breakfast area, which is a nightmare in bad weather; the reception was barely staffed and unreachable by phone, which is contrary to the standard of a 3‑star Garni hotel. The booked room (No. 1) had no view of the mountains, only half a roof, and the hallway bed received no daylight.
