Long John's Pub & Hotel is a unique 18th-century hotel in Amersfoort's historic centre, 30 minutes from Utrecht. The hotel features a café downstairs and offers free Wi-Fi. Compact rooms have flat-screen TVs and views of the old town, with some rooms sharing bathroom or toilet facilities. It's a short walk to Sint-Joris Church, Museum Flehite, and Mondrian House, and Amersfoort Railway Station is 15 minutes away.

The staff were incredibly friendly, the atmosphere pleasant, the location perfect and the room spacious. The bathroom was a bit small and not very modern, but it had everything you need; the shower was also nice, so I wouldn’t call that a real drawback.

It was good. It would have been nice if we had been told in advance that the toilet and shower were downstairs. There was a steep staircase that was hard to navigate for our age, especially if we had to go to the toilet at night. Fortunately, my sister could swap rooms. She had a budget room. Also worthless. Bed against the wall. I would have had to climb over my partner at night. One‑person duvet on a two‑person bed. We could have been better informed about the staircase in the room.

The location, the friendliness of the staff and the wonderful mattress. The option to eat and drink on the terrace! Discounted parking at the nearby Qpark garage.

The location in the historic old town was truly beautiful! The Guinness tasted very good. The stairs to our room were very steep, there was no elevator and no assistance to carry our luggage up. Only one key card was provided for two people. It was a pub with rooms, nothing else, and had no hotel character at all. For the price it felt quite inappropriate! The toilet outside the room was known to us. I booked two single beds but received a French double bed, which was simply too small for us.
