“Accueil exceptionnel. Bon emplacement.”
The garden is tiny but the welcome from Adi was outstanding, with incredible kindness. The light near the bed is dim and perfect for drying clothes, and there’s refillable water and unlimited tea. Renting a scooter on site is a plus. On the downside, there’s no sink and the Wi‑Fi can be a bit spotty. Even though the island’s beaches are stunningly colorful, it’s not suitable for swimming because of the lack of depth and abundant coral; I wish I’d known that before arriving.
Adi, the host, is very helpful, friendly, and knows everything about Karimunjawa.

Basic but quite comfortable. Adi, the host, is a really helpful, friendly guy. It’s just a little out of town, so there’s no noise from the mosque.
Right from the start I noticed the accommodation was great, especially after I accidentally booked a room without air‑conditioning. The owners responded quickly and moved me to a different room. The vibe feels very family‑like and warm, thanks to Adi who prepared breakfast daily and asked about our plans, offering many helpful tips without being intrusive. The place itself is in excellent condition, with a beautiful outdoor area. We rented a moped from Adi and were able to get around easily despite the somewhat remote location. The only drawback is that the property isn’t very central, so you’ll need some self‑organized transport and can’t walk to get food, and the Wi‑Fi isn’t great.
Adi gave us a fantastic welcome! He’s always there to advise and help, carefully prepares breakfast and iced tea, and the place feels very welcoming and clean. If the chance comes up, I’ll definitely return 🙂 I’ll remember the sweet toast 😉
