Cornell and the rest of the team welcomed us warmly. Cornell even arranged a shuttle to help my parents climb the hill for our castle tour. It was the most memorable part of our trip to Germany.

The location was superb, only a five‑minute walk to Neuschwanstein Castle, letting me avoid crowds. Breakfast was decent. Soundproofing was a bit lacking, yet it didn’t disturb my sleep, and the night was very quiet. Worth staying for a night.

Very comfortable for the castle. The beds weren’t entirely comfortable, the staff were friendly but not very eager.

The reception was handled by a restaurant waiter who struggled to communicate in German and was rather unfriendly. He left me waiting for 10 minutes while he went to take restaurant orders. Although I booked the same type of double room as before, the room I received this time was so cramped that the door couldn't even open fully because it hit the bed. At breakfast, guests were not allowed to sit by the window. Instead, the staff assigned seats. When I ordered a hot chocolate, the waiter handled it so clumsily that chocolate powder ended up all over the tray. The property is located up on a mountain, so reaching it requires a 30-minute uphill walk. Alternatively, you can take a horse-drawn carriage up and then walk another five minutes. There is no private bathroom. Guests have to share communal toilets and showers
