One of the nicest places on Port Barton beach—located at one end, so it’s quieter. We called Port Barton a dive‑bar beach—perfect size, small, quaint, character everywhere but large enough for good restaurants and bars. Clean and chic hotel with a beautiful pool and sitting area overlooking the beach. Breakfast was minimal but good.

The location is great, the rooms are a good size, and the pool/beach area is nice. You can walk straight onto the beach and have access to a whole row of lovely restaurants, etc. The rooms are slightly tired and weren’t entirely clean.

The hotel sits right on the beach and has a pool, but I stayed three nights and it was anything but relaxing. Right below my room, a rooster crowed from sunrise to sunset every 30 seconds. On Saturdays from 6 pm to midnight, a bar played music so loud the glass door vibrated. Breakfast was very basic, and for the first time in a hotel I was asked to pay for a tea bag at breakfast! The bathroom seals were moldy, and there was no chair in the room. Considering the room price, none of this is acceptable. The staff were not very friendly. It’s a shame because it’s the only hotel with a pool.

The staff were very kind, and when a typhoon hit we were taken care of; they brought us water, breakfast, and even dinner. They helped us with everything, and thanks to them we could get internet and contact family and friends. A perfect 10.
