“Que caiga el meteorito YA”
It was a very educational experience where my daughters learned how the local police in Miraflores de la Sierra work and how to file a complaint with the Guardia Civil in Colmenar Viejo. The room we received was nothing like the listing: a 30‑square‑meter space with two extra‑large double beds and two single beds, but the hallway was narrow and dirty, leading to a room where three hammocks were haphazardly arranged. The closets, which I’d call “clothes cabinets,” were full of old Polka‑year clothes and even a pair of skis. On the floor of our terrace, two or three dogs had left so much droppings that it seemed the place should have been cleaned regularly. We seriously considered notifying an animal shelter. After a quick visual inspection of the bathroom and other areas, which had dust from the year Carolo ruled, we contacted the property via WhatsApp to express our displeasure. The owners claimed they couldn’t distinguish the differences between the Booking listing and what was actually offered. At that point we decided not to stay and requested a complaint form to return home. Unable to get the form, we reached out to the local police in Miraflores de la Sierra. While waiting, we observed that the pool and its furniture had seen better days, and the ping‑pong table was fine, but the paddle was missing.
