We thought we’d be closer to the city, but the suburban vibe and the way the Inn blends into the neighborhood were wonderful. Everything was great. I wish there had been a spot to grab a drink and sit in the Inn in the evenings, and I’d liked more historical context—there was no information in the room.

Breakfast is modest but good. The property looks run down and in poor repair.

I can’t remember the name of the fabulous woman who works there—maybe Joanne? She went out of her way to make sure we had coffee before the kitchen opened because we had to leave early. We also enjoyed a great dinner at the restaurant. Nothing else to add.

The location and architecture are impressive. Nothing else to complain about. A bottle of water in the room would have been a nice addition.

The grounds are well maintained, and the historic house has been kept and modernized without losing its connection to the past. The only downside was that there was no place to sit when we weren’t eating, whether with a cup of tea, a glass of wine, or outside.
