“Overpriced and below standard breakfast and amenities”

Nothing was good. The name is misleading—it’s nowhere near Portland. The breakfast was decent, but the absence of bacon was a big let‑down. The hot tub has been out of order forever. I couldn’t switch to a different location in Portland within the same chain because the manager wasn’t around, so I couldn’t cancel or get a refund. I booked this location by mistake, wanting the Portland one. No real help was available, even after contacting customer service. Everyone I asked to change my booking just said “third‑party app” and blamed their systems for being inadequate. I was bounced between the front desk and customer service. If I’m staying in Vancouver, other hotels like Best Western nearby are half the price, have working hot tubs, and are closer to better restaurants. As a Hilton rewards member and loyal user, this was an expensive disappointment. The cab ride was 60 minutes from downtown Portland just to reach this hotel. “Portland” is a real misnomer.

“I will never book with this site again!”

Our office booked it for an employee. The employee was asked for the credit card used to book, told to charge the card on file, but it was not possible, leading to chaos.

“Delightful!”

It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent! The pillows were all too soft and there was nowhere to charge USB, but those are minor issues.

The staff were friendly. The buffet was nice—I enjoyed the oatmeal & almond milk. The room was nice. We shouldn’t have had to pay for parking after already spending so much. I didn’t know about this added fee. The pool was very dirty.

“Very disappointed, we had been looking forward to this”

The employees were nice and offered plenty of breakfast options. We had trouble checking in. We weren’t told when booking that there would be construction in the hallway, and we were woken up by workers scraping floors and vacuuming dust from the carpet they were pulling. An employee—probably housekeeping—opened our door two hours before check‑out time while I was sleeping, and my 9‑year‑old was with me; we were both scared. If they had knocked, we couldn’t hear it because of all the hallway noise. Had we known this beforehand, we wouldn’t have booked a place where they were tearing up carpet and making noise from the morning. The room looked decent at first, but the beds felt wobbly and not very sturdy. The shower head had no pressure, making rinsing a pain. I’m glad we brought our own blankets because the hotel blankets were itchy and unpleasant. Overall, it was not a good experience. The parking fee is comical to me. I pay to stay at a hotel—where should I park my vehicle? I would think in the hotel’s parking lot, so being told I’d be charged to park there is just absurd. I will never stay there again. I’m also unsure about booking through a third party; some of the information should have been in the booking details. Construction going on is a big thing to inform guests about before they arrive.
