Located in Solda’s center at 1,900 m altitude, Bed & Breakfast Hostel Nives offers simply furnished rooms with wooden décor, two bunk‑bed sets, and private bathrooms with showers. Guests enjoy free Wi‑Fi, a sun terrace with mountain views, and an on‑site bar. A complimentary ski bus stops directly outside, providing a 300‑m link to Langenstein slopes; Spondigna Train Station lies 18 km away.

The location is fantastic, the walk to the Stelviora is a nice warm‑up, the beds are simple yet very comfortable, especially the pillows and mattress, I slept like a log; breakfast is plentiful, dinner was a huge, tasty portion, and parking is right at the entrance.

The sauna was great, but the beds were lined up against each other, which felt odd, and people kept talking inside the sauna, which was very annoying.

I missed one night before heading out to Stelvio on my motorcycle. The lodging was comfortable enough, you can easily park your bike in front of the host, and the whirlpool and sauna were absolutely fantastic after a full day’s ride. The whirlpool and sauna close at 20:00, after which you can grab pizza at the hostel restaurant. Breakfast met my expectations. The hostel is a bit off the main Stelvio route, but it’s not a big deal.

The view of nature at this kind of place, geared toward sports clientele, is great, but the rooms are quite plain, with no décor or frills, just the bare minimum without feeling cramped. Still, the value for money is very good. The on‑site restaurant is decent, and I’d go back if the opportunity arises, no hesitation. The staff could be warmer and more welcoming.
