Everyone at the hotel was very friendly from arrival to departure and did everything to make my stay enjoyable, but I didn’t like the location.

The check‑in took far too long, causing a frustrating start to my visit.

“Very poor”

I was never told about the pope’s visit or the resulting disruptions, and there was no plan to help guests cope. No updates or guidance were provided on what would happen or how to manage it, nor when it would end. Because of this, three of us ended up carrying eight pieces of luggage for over 1 km through central Paris using phone navigation. On top of that, the minibar never worked during my stay. The experience was so disappointing, especially since one of us had an injured knee.

I had booked connecting rooms, but they were tiny and the doors were hard to keep open, making the space feel even tighter. The air conditioning didn’t work properly. The staff were very helpful and moved us to two rooms next to each other, but the AC in the second room still had problems. They came several times to fix it, yet the issue persisted and we slept poorly for two nights. Eventually we were moved again, and the rooms ended up on different floors. On the bright side, the beds and mattresses were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on, and once the AC was fixed we slept very well. The location is excellent, the staff are kind, friendly, and responsive, and they welcomed us with macarons that were honestly some of the best I’ve had in France. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with a great location and wonderful staff; improving the air‑conditioning would make it even better.
