I love this hotel. Its spot is right between campus and downtown, and after my daughter’s graduation I’ll miss staying here.

The staff were nice and the place sits in a great spot, and it was clean overall, but we woke up to a critter under the bed or in the walls. I couldn’t tell where it came from and feared it was a mouse. The whole family was startled, and a little later we spotted a big potato bug crawling around. I’m not sure that’s what made the noise, because it sounded louder than a potato bug and more like a mouse. I told the front desk about it before we checked out.

The check‑in clerk helped out, the rooms were nice, the facilities were open, the property was good, and it was close to shops. Parking was awful: it took 30 minutes to find a spot and then I had to crawl out the back passenger side with a mid‑size truck. The bed was super uncomfortable. I checked out a day early and was told I wouldn’t get any credit—maybe I should have been more concerned about my reason for leaving. I’ve never been asked for ID to check out. Weird.
