I’ve stayed at Scandic Paasia for both business trips and now as a retiree; the location suits me perfectly—walking gets me to the city center, and longer transport options are available at Hakaniemi market square. Reception service has been (almost) always excellent, though the newer staff sometimes struggle to answer all my questions. Breakfast still offers plenty of healthy choices to pick from, and the service there is generally good. Rooms are cleaned daily, as they should be. The downside is that age is already showing in the rooms; I’d like the decor to be brighter when it’s finally renovated—dark décor is especially disruptive in the darker months when I have to use a flashlight to turn on the room light.

The place is fantastic, perfectly situated, impeccably clean, and soundproof for an ideal rest; the breakfast is extensive, high quality, and even has a gluten‑free section, making it highly recommendable and definitely a return spot.
