Vale Farm

I slept soundly in a quiet spot. The place is a working farm with friendly dogs that greeted us at the front desk. The room was tidy and had coffee/tea facilities. The bed was nice and comfy, and the bathroom was large with a shower. Ethel was very friendly and helpful when I had to switch from a double to a twin at the last minute. It’s convenient for the Triumph factory tour we were doing, and the nearest village had great pubs, one of which served breakfast the next morning. I’d recommend Vale Farm.

“Lovely comfortable stay”

Convenient spot for meeting people on the Ashby canal. The room and bathroom were nice. There was a drinks tray with various mugs and lovely china teacups. In the morning there was some road noise, but it probably wouldn’t have been as noticeable if the windows were closed.

Lovely location; room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and appointed to a very high standard; spacious parking and a friendly welcome. Can't think of anything! We will certainly be back

“Unless you like sharing your room with a family of spiders, I'd look elsewhere.”

The village and spot were good, looking like converted farm buildings, but I didn’t share the others’ positive view. On arrival I found the room infested with cellar spiders everywhere—main room, bathroom, wardrobe, even one in my bag when I got home. Cobwebs on the walls showed it hadn’t been cleaned properly for a while, even though the owner said it had been two days earlier. I had to kill at least a dozen long‑legged spiders. Moving the table lamp revealed an old‑style illegal uninsulated plug with wires hanging out.
