The staff were very friendly, but the road noise from 02:00 AM was terrible. It was quite cold and there were no good blankets. It’s just a place to rest and shower before heading out to see the sunrise at Mount Bromo.

It was very close to the road to Bromo, but the staff barely spoke English and had to use a translator. The room was cold and noisy because it wasn’t soundproofed, and the bathrooms lacked shower soap and towels.

The location is great for Bromo tours, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Poor English skills are compensated by a translator, and a motorcycle was arranged for us. A driver to Madakaripura and Probolinggo was also offered at a fair price. An extra blanket was provided right away because it gets quite chilly at night, and the shower was at least lukewarm. Tip: if there’s no driver, rent a motorcycle for the whole stay to be more flexible with restaurant choices. At night the Jeep tours to Bromo can get noisy, but that’s a regional issue. Note: the food at the neighboring hotel is comparatively expensive and far below average quality.

We stayed at Ikiika Homestay on our Bromo trip and were very satisfied. The room was clean and the beds especially comfortable, which is crucial after hikes. The bathroom is a bit spartan but functional and typical for the type of place. The real highlight is the location, ideal for arranging sunrise hikes to Mount Bromo and reaching Madakaripura waterfalls. We arranged pick‑ups from Probolinggo station, various tours, and at the end of the stay a bus transfer to Surabaya airport for our group of ten directly with the owner. Everything was organized precisely and smoothly. The staff were very helpful and kind, and the quality‑price ratio of the service is excellent. This is especially recommended for those visiting Bromo who want accommodation, transfers, and tours organized on site.
