“What a find, great value and a must-return!”
Centrally positioned on a quiet side street, this old manor house is beautifully kept and full of period charm. Parking is plentiful and free. The hosts, Lynne and Stephen, were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The guest facilities are lovely, with a cozy lounge, a well-stocked honesty bar, free snacks, tea, coffee, bottled water, and even sparkling wine in the room, plus Bath House toiletries. Nothing to complain about.
“Home from home”
The place is clean, central, comfortable, and packed with nice touches. There wasn’t much trouble at all. Breakfast was excellent, and the round around the dales was fantastic.
“Getting very tired.”
The location in the village is good. However, the car park is narrow and long; if you have a large car like a Range Rover, you’ll want to look elsewhere. Cell reception from all carriers in Grassington is poor, and the Wi‑Fi on the property is no better; we were at the front of the house and hardly ever had more than one bar, so it’s easy to fix if you’re willing. In room 5 the toilet seat is loose and moves when you sit on it, the basin taps are loose and turn when you try to turn them on, and the toilet roll holder isn’t fixed and falls to the floor. They do give a couple of bubbly miniatures, but who drinks warm bubbly? A mini fridge would have been nice. Overall, the place must have been stunning years ago, but those days are gone; it looks tired and needs a revamp, the carpets are dog‑eared, breakfast was okay but limited, it’s always busy, and the owners should invest more money to bring it up to 2026 standards.
“Loved this stay”
The location is superb, and having parking is a real bonus in town. It’s very close to pubs and restaurants, and breakfast was amazing.
“A lovely stay in the centre of Grassington.”
Perfect location, right in the centre of Grassington. Really good breakfast. Nothing
