The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The place is located in the heart of a beautiful forest, next to a beautiful lake, great for those who look for a connection with nature, but the outdoor bathroom often brings insects and frogs, and the pool needs better maintenance.

We were the first guests after a new manager took over, and the staff had only three days to tidy up. The chalet was large, spacious, and had its own little pool plus an adventurous outdoor wet area – the toilet and shower were outside. Staff were very friendly and eager to show us new things, like jackfruit and okra harvests, and we even helped in the kitchen. The location was a bit outside Dambulla, very quiet, right by a lake, and despite being near water, there were no mosquitoes. We’d love to return. However, because of the short turnaround, some things were still unfinished. We noted several issues to the manager, who received the feedback positively and we expect him to act on it. The pool wasn’t really clean, it was treated several times but never truly clean. Some bathroom items needed replacement, and we often ran out of water. The property definitely has potential.

The staff were super friendly and went out of their way to help us. The setting in the woods with a lake view was gorgeous. But the place had just been taken over and the previous owners had left it in a sorry state. There’s huge potential and the new owner is doing his best, but still a lot of work is needed to bring it back to top quality. During our stay the pool was empty, the Wi‑Fi didn’t work, we had power outages, and the wellness area was inactive or no longer available. The owner did drive us in his own car to a nearby massage.

The view from the room was nice. The complex was deserted and neglected.
