The service is amazing. Our arrival got delayed and the owner organized pickup and pizzas for our arrival. Every staff member is incredibly friendly and helpful, and you can feel the amazing relationship the team has. Everyone here really seems to love this place, the nature, and the work they’re doing, and it shows. An absolute gem, would always come back here!

The place sits in a beautiful spot and the facilities are nice. When I tried to extend my stay, I was shocked to be quoted a higher rate than the one I was already paying; they then claimed it was a “glitch” and that the property receives the full amount, which I don’t think is true. I understand a system or pricing error could happen, but even if it did, I don’t think the guest should bear the burden after the booking is confirmed. I told them I’d extend on the booking platform, but soon after they raised the price there as well. They also asked me to pay an extra $1.50 tax on site, even though I had shown that this was already included in what I paid, adding to the confusion. When the owner/manager came to discuss the issue, he said he didn’t have much time. I get that people can be busy, but in a situation where a guest already feels uneasy, it’s important to make them feel heard and not pressured. I left after they made it impossible to extend.

The location is outstanding, and the facilities are designed with ecological impact in mind. Hearing about the coral recolonisation beds in the bay and actually getting into the water was a real treat. There was some ambient noise from Tanga Town itself, but the peaceful vibe quickly drowned that out.
