Casa Carpe DM sits right in the old city near the Basilica. Every time we return to Quito, we stay there. The rooftop area is nice and a great way to start the day with a delicious breakfast. Fernanda is exceptional—she’s very knowledgeable and helpful, sharing her passion for the city and country.

The staff at Carpe DM were very accommodating and friendly with my late arrival and onward travel. The breakfast was good and the rooftop area was nice to overlook the city. The room was comfortable and a nice hot shower. Not as nice as the images online but comfortable enough. Unfortunately where it is situated it is very noisy at night, even with ear plugs it was a struggle to sleep. WIFI was a bit on and off during my stay
