Franschhoek Farm Cottages

“Excellent!!”

We loved the farm’s beauty and character, and it was lovely being close to the town yet removed from it. Roaming through the orchard and looking up at the mountains was delightful. The cottages were stunning—spacious, clean, well equipped, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The two friendly farm dogs were also wonderful. We booked four units as separate families and didn’t realise the cottages aren’t all together (they’re not far apart, but still not all together), which was a bit disappointing since the pictures were misleading in that regard—a small thing.

We practically had the entire farm to ourselves, with great facilities and breathtaking views, and there was nothing else to complain about.

The setting was beautiful and the room stayed warm during winter, plus it was close to the main town, but the Wi‑Fi connection was poor for any work, and the listing was misleading because it implied all cottages had hot tubs, whereas only the main house did.

“Overall a good stay but a few improvements could make it an excellent stay.”

The location was good, yet the shower was blocked and we didn’t realize the other guest was sleeping in the lounge; they should clarify that the space is a single bedroom.
