“Es war ein Erlebnis”
Ruhige Lage. Wo soll ich anfangen? Wir sind schon bei der Anfahrt erschrocken: ein Waldweg mit unzähligen Schlaglöchern. Das Haus sieht ziemlich fertig aus, die Zimmer die wir hatten, waren zwar renoviert, leider noch die Uralt-Duschen mit Bewohner. Spinnweben im Zimmer, das Fenster seit 100 Jahren nicht mehr geputzt und über dem Riss von oben nach unten ein Fuchskleber mit Schneeflocken. Die Spannbetttücher haben ihre beste Zeit hinter sich und die Bettwäsche hat unangenehm gerochen. Frühstück gab es zum Glück keines, im Haupthaus an der Rezeption roch es streng nach nassem Hund. Meine Mutter hatte ein Zimmer mit ehemaligem Kinderstockbett. Check out angeblich ab 7 Uhr, wir haben um 7.30 Uhr zweimal geklingelt und haben die Schlüssel dann auf einen Tisch neben der Haustür gelegt
To reach the lodging, you have to drive along a forest road. A refrigerator in the rooms would be nice, especially if guests stay for several nights.
“Besuch bei Freunden”
A simple place right in the woods. Everything is very clean and you actually have everything you need for the night. The price‑performance ratio is absolutely fitting. The people really make the difference. You come as a guest and leave as a friend.
Good location, especially close to Bayreuth. The hosts are uncomplicated. If you’re looking for a sleeping spot, the Pfeiferhaus is recommended. Good value for money. Good breakfast! Retro is my thing, so I like this place. The “divine” entrance to the pension… If you’re in a hurry, leave 10 minutes earlier: because I was early, I enjoyed the detour around the endless potholes. The TV didn’t work.

Where can you still find affordable accommodation today? Right! In the forest! The forest pension is very simple but offers everything you need for the night. It’s very clean and idyllicly located. You’re greeted warmly and wishes are promptly fulfilled.
