“The hotel got the job done for one night but wouldn’t stay there again”

We were just passing through on our way home from Washington State and needed a dog‑friendly room for our small pup. The location was fine for an early start. The place had zero curb appeal; lobby welcome mats were dirty and the hallway walls on the second floor were scuffed. Our room was “okay” but the furniture was very old and scratched, the TV worked only intermittently, and we only had paper coffee cups—no plastic or glass cups in the bathroom. It was kind of disappointing, to be honest.

“Great location. Near good restaurants and easy access”

Breakfast was hot and the usual selection for hotel breakfasts. The room was pleasant and very close to my room. Parking was a little tight; I had to back out from my spot across from the office.

“Horrible coffee”

I kept the room spotless, but the place was pretty noisy and there was nowhere to walk my dog; the coffee at breakfast felt like lukewarm water, and I was hit with an unexpected pet fee at checkout that wasn’t mentioned on the listing.

The cleanliness impressed me, but the breakfast at Days Inn 100 Mile House was better than what I’d had in Kamloops; they offered plenty to eat, yet the disposable plates and cutlery were poor quality and not eco‑friendly.
