“A very disappointing experience with dirty facilities, constant noise, and unhelpful staff.”
The room had a bed and air conditioning, but the place was filthy. The bathrooms showed water damage and grime, and the downstairs shower only offered cold water. The hoses in the bathroom smelled of rotten eggs, filling the air with an unpleasant odor. Stained towels and sheets were provided, and even the replacements were dirty. Animal droppings were found under the stairs and ants infested the kitchen. The hotel sits right next to a construction site, so the noise was constant from early morning until night. Nearby, a temple played loud ceremonial music with gongs and drumming from the afternoon until late, sometimes past 1 a.m. The staff were unhelpful; we wrote to them but got no reply, then called and received a vague message saying they were “trying to contact the staff” (odd, since they were the staff). When we asked for updates, they stopped replying. The next morning they finally arrived, promised to clean the dirty areas, but never did and disappeared again. It was a very unpleasant stay.
