Located in Schwäbische Alb Nature Park along Germany’s Romantic Route, Engelhard Das Landhotel Garni offers 4‑star, air‑conditioned rooms renovated in 2018 with handmade furniture, flat‑screen TV, DVD player and free Wi‑Fi for two devices. Guests enjoy a homemade breakfast buffet, a spacious garden with terrace and barbecue, and proximity—10 min to Nördlingen, 25 min to Dinkelsbühl.

The hotel was nice and clean, with rooms that were roomy, comfortable, and well stocked; the breakfast spread was good. Parking was free and right next to the hotel, though the location was a bit far from Nordlingen (15 minutes drive), which didn’t matter because we had a car. The blackout blinds helped us sleep well. Staffing was light because of the lean season, but the lady at reception—whose name I forgot—was very friendly and helpful.
