“Nice bush setting on the summit of Clear Mountain”
The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The pool is great. Excellent place to stay for mountainbiking. No mini bar and no room service. This was annoying because there's nowhere nearby to buy a snack or drink
“Was quite disappointed in the room we had as construction was underway and could not even get to move to another room so”
The location is beautiful with gorgeous views. The facilities opening hours weren’t great and staff not very accommodating.
The view is good, the room is spacious and comfortable. I was shocked to discover hazardous steps. The path to the room, avoiding many steep stairs, was a dangerous neglected route with several trip hazards barely colored and invisible in the dark. Night lighting was poor. Steps from the path to the car park were sloped and you stepped off onto a slope. The rail was thick, triangular splintered wood. It all felt very hazardous and frankly terrible from a safety point of view. We are shocked the place is functioning with those neglected issues. Service in the restaurant was incredibly slow even when not busy; overwhelming for the one hardworking waiter and one kitchen staff. Several dishes were barely warm. There was no switch for the fan in the bathroom.

We had family and friends who travelled hours to attend the wedding, with more than 20 guests also booking rooms at the venue for the night. Given the importance of the occasion and the effort everyone made to be there, we expected a high level of service and hospitality. Sadly, that was not what we experienced. The views were beautiful, and the wedding planner was absolutely amazing on the day. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and was genuinely the highlight of our experience. Unfortunately, the experience with management and a number of staff was very different. We found the staff to be rude, dismissive and unprofessional throughout the night. I personally witnessed the General Manager yelling at staff, as well as speaking rudely to other guests who were trying to raise legitimate complaints. The service was also extremely slow. We waited over 40 minutes for drinks, and the following morning our drinks didn’t arrive until after we had finished breakfast. When I raised my concerns with the General Manager, she told me to my face that she “wouldn’t be so rude if the guest wasn’t rude.” This was simply not the case, and I found the comment completely inappropriate and unprofessional. What made this even more disappointing was hearing similar complaints from our own family and friends who had travelled hours to attend the wedding and stayed overnight. Many of our 20+ guests who booked rooms also commented on the rude treatment they received from the General Manager. The cleanliness and basic room amenities were also disappointing. Our room had no water jug or bottled water in the fridge, no garbage bags and no proper bin for rubbish.
