Hostel Trastevere

The hostel is cheap and close to restaurants and attractions, but that’s about it. The receptionist at check‑in was rude and seemed more interested in his cell phone than giving us information. I stayed in a six‑bed female dorm in the building across the lot; the twin bed had clean sheets and a pillow with a blood‑stained blanket, and I felt itchy when lying down even though I had no bug bites. The floors were dirty, the outlet was halfway up the wall away from the bed so the phone hung from the wall, and the six overhead lights were very bright. The bathroom was dirty on the floors, sink, and toilets. If you have another option, take it. My Airbnb canceled last minute, so I tried Hostel Trastevere and regret it.

You can enter and leave at any time, and the common spaces are easily accessible. I think they should set a check‑in time limit; I can’t sleep knowing that people might arrive in the middle of the night.

The location and the staff were the best. Toilets can improve, although guess we're dirty and left too much towels and clothes inside, a bit more cleaning will be perfect

The common area was lively, but the location was far and expensive, the washrooms had no locks or soap, and the building where my room was didn’t have good facilities.
