The Hotel Marienthal Garni, a 3-star hotel, is located in a quiet area 10 minutes from Hamburg's city centre. It features free internet and parking. Comfortably furnished rooms, a bright conservatory, and a terrace offer relaxation. A scenic park and Quarree shopping arcade are nearby. Wandsbek Markt underground station, 10 minutes away, provides easy access to the city centre and A24 motorway.

It was close to where we were headed, but overall it was quite disappointing and had plenty of room for improvement.

Our first room was small and not great, but after we politely asked, the staff moved us on day 2 and accommodated our request, which meant a lot. Initially we were in that first room, yet the issue was handled well.

Breakfast was decent, as you can’t really mess up a breakfast, but the bed was very uncomfortable for my 205cm height, the bathroom was a bit too small for two people, and the safe costing 3 € per day was a real insult. The window was broken and couldn’t be tilted. Overall, the room’s furnishings needed a refresh.
