But there’s no room service, food only shows up during set meal times, the breakfast selection is weak, and the pool shuts down from 1 to 3pm – feels more like a B&B than a full‑service hotel.

The location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, and peace are all great. The breakfast has too little variety and could offer more; the room is small and the bathroom needs a remodel.

The staff are pleasant and the location is handy for the Ironman, and the place is clean. Unfortunately none of the air‑con units worked, the outside is noisy with construction crews, the pool isn’t worth the trip, and breakfast was just average.

We booked this spot for the Ironman and it was super accommodating – rooms were large enough to fit a bike, breakfast started early and had a wide range of options. Everyone on staff was friendly, the hotel is just a 10‑minute walk to the train station and another 10 minutes to the beach, the air‑con works well, and the pool is nice. The décor and facilities feel old‑school, but you get great value.
