The location is good. Staff only come when someone checks in, which is fine. Bathroom, toilets, clean as standards in Borneo, which is fine. I couldn’t sleep at all. My mattress was basically a hole, very painful, and the bed squeaked loudly with any movement. I’m used to sleeping in bad conditions, but this is not a good place to stay. Maybe I was unlucky with the bed, but this shouldn’t happen when I paid to sleep.

The location is unbeatable. The staff are very friendly and provide many conveniences. They offered solutions and treated us well. The mattress wasn’t the best. Some mornings there were people making noise, because it’s a hostel vibe, and the walls are thin.

I found a great budget spot for backpackers, right in the middle of Chinatown on Carpenter Street, just a stone's throw from the riverfront and a mall. I stayed in a private room that was compact and the bed felt a bit firm but still okay; it had all the essentials like WiFi, A/C, hot water, and a private toilet/shower. The owner, Anthony, was very helpful and a cool guy, and I appreciate that they support cats. It was good value and I definitely recommend it.
